When I Grow Up

Over the weekend as we were driving we were noticing many different kinds of cars: police cars, fire engines, big trucks, little trucks, convertibles, cars with car top carriers...the boys had questions about everything on the road!
After seeing a police car again, Micah comments with, "I want to be a police man when I grow up."
Isaiah responds with, "I want to drive a fire truck when I grow up."
Can you guess what Josiah chimed in with?

"I want to drive a red convertible when I grow up."

Hurray God!

Today M was walking around the house saying, "Hurray God". Kind of a different expression, but it makes the point he wanted to make. I am blessed by my son who wants to cheer for God! May I cheer with him.
HURRAY GOD!

Quote of the Week

Micah was in his room with his pretend tool kit sawing on his foot.
Mommy: "What are you fixing, Micah?"
Micah: "I am fixing myself!"

When I find that I need fixing, whether it is my body or soul, my first reaction is often to "fix myself". May the Lord give me wisdom to rest in the one who is my healer and redeemer.

Caring Quote

The other day, I was sitting on the couch reading a book with Isaiah and he accidentally hit my head with his. Those little two year old heads can be very hard and I think it hurt me more than it did him. He knew that I was affected by the collision and very lovingly told me, "Someday I will grow bigger and take you to the doctor mommy." Oh how I felt so loved and I am certain that I will be thankful to have a son or three that will take me to the doctor when I no longer can take myself.

Insightful Expressions

The boys are talking more and more. Kenta and I often giggle at their creative expressions. This last weekend we were going on a family walk on a beautiful and gusty day. The leaves were blowing, the sun was shining and we were all five walking hand in hand. Isaiah, watching the leaves blow in the wind said, "The leaves are running." Now isn't that creatively cute.

Expanding Your Vocabulary

I am sure that every parent has memories of those words that are so precious when their children begin talking. Over the past few months, the boys language has exploded! They are surprising me with words that they can say everyday. I thought I might share a few that tug at my heart strings and I think may be adopted as part of our family dictionary, just incase you need interpreting next time you see us.
I'm Hungee (Hungry)
Nuggle Pees (Snuggle Please)
